How We Verify Prices
Phone prices move daily and vary by country, retailer, and variant. This page explains the exact checks a price passes before it is published on LatestPrice.net.
The Verification Process
- Timestamped snapshots. Every price we publish is captured with the capture time and the source listing. Stale snapshots are discarded rather than merged into current pricing.
- Variant matching. Prices are bound to a specific variant (storage, RAM, and region). A price for one variant is never displayed on another variant's page.
- Currency normalization. Local prices are shown in the local currency first. Any global USD figure is a transparent conversion for cross-market comparison, not a quoted retail price.
- Outlier rejection. Listings that deviate far from the market band are held back until a second independent listing confirms them. Flash sales and trade-in pricing are excluded.
- Re-check cadence. Country pages are re-checked on a regular schedule, and high-volatility models are reviewed more frequently. Each page shows a visible last-updated signal.
What A Listed Price Means
A listed price reflects the standard retail price from verified listings at the time of the last check. It does not include limited-time coupons, trade-in offers, carrier subsidies, or bank promotions, which can change the effective price at checkout.
Reporting A Price Error
If you find a price that no longer matches the market, please contact us with the phone page URL and the listing you saw. Verified reports are reviewed against source material and applied under our Corrections Policy.
